After that encounter, he appears before Sophie's mother, whom he tells an interesting tale. She seems to find some nugget of truth to what he says, even though she has trouble accepting it. Still, recognition sets in for her.

Meanwhile, Lord Douglas, who had helped out Lia, is set to interrogate this mysterious man. Although he's certainly taking his sweet time, the chef points out. And when Lord Douglas tells him to be on his way and do his job, he starts to notice something weird going on.

Lord Douglas tried to investigate the strange happenings going on, but the mysterious man won't answer any of his questions. Despite Douglas' protestations, the man won't speak. But that's the least of the problems, as Lord Douglas notices, and not a moment too soon. Not it seems the two men must team up in order to escape alive. But who -- or what -- is pursuing them?

After an extensive action sequence, the two appear to be safe, but just who is helping them? Even yet, why?

And Sophie's mother just can't seem to come to grips with Sophie's fate. Will it drive her crazy?
