Najika is has been working closely with Seiya recently, and fostering that relationship will bring about some unexpected news. But for now, he has Najika in an unfamiliar position: He continues to fawn over her and put her on a pedestal. Yet she continues to deny allowing him to be her boyfriend.
Najika, however, wants to come up with a new menu for the diner, and she wants Daichi to come in and be the taste tester. Unfortunately, he has a commitment to his dad to attend an event. When things start to go against what he wants, Daichi becomes frustrated, and Najika becomes dejected.
Seiya happens to provide some feedback to Najika, even if that's not what she seeks from him. Akane happens by and sees Seiya bothering Najika, and she defends Najika. In addition, she has a heart-to-heart with Najika, who learns the moivations of some people close to her.
When Daichi sees Najika next, they decide to go to Sora's grave to pay their respects. During the trip, the two bond a bit, and Najika seems to become happy after telling Sora what she needs to get off her chest.
Back at the academy, Najika decides to confront Seiya. However, when she tells him what she needs to, he reacts unexpectedly. Meanwhile, Daichi is in another part of the campus and discovers an old photograph. Little does he know that this photograph holds secrets that have long since been forgotten.
The fallout of Daichi finding this photograph dominates the rest of the volume and provides for some unexpected twists and turns in the plot. Daichi and Najika are intimately affected by the developments, and they just might be forever changed.

Summing Up:
The plot develops and has some good twists and turns, and the characters become more intriguing, too.
