Think you've seen about all there is in horror? Maybe the same tired concepts of phones ringing and mysterious murders is getting a bit old? Well, then we've got the horror manga for you!
The second installment of Museum of Terror continues the saga of Tomie, the main character featured in the previous volume. Unlike the first volume however, most of the stories featured in this manga stand well on their own and takes Tomie's enigmatic powers to new heights. When I originally read this, I hadn't yet read the first volume and quickly got a grasp of what as going on. Instead of simply being gross or scary though, the stories take on an O. Henry twist which is a welcome breather from all the suffering Tomie inflicts upon other people. The last three chapters however are interconnected and give some sense of closure to the Tomie saga.
As expected from Ito, his artwork is superb and there are some interesting scenes here which showcases his skill for drama and horror, such as men seeing visions of Tomie in a sake factory, or the showdown of sorts between three Tomie children. In my opinion, Ito's storytelling has evolved here and perhaps even surpasses the previous volume. Museum of Terror Vol. 2 is a decent collection and is a title anyone can get into.

Summing Up:
Another treat to any horror fan's collection.
